Question Everything

Opposing Forces

Friday, March 12, 2021

Opposing forces are a result of something that’s pushing against something else in an attempt to prevent one from overwhelming the other, there by impeding its forward motion. This can apply in not only physical bodies but also ideas. Naturally the one may overwhelm the other or they may both come to rest in one location as the momentum equals out and the forces subsidies. Very Sciency…Lol

I have what I would call a blessed life, the abundance in all areas is incredible, I sometimes focus on it and can easily overwhelm my senses with absolute joy and gratefulness. I also on occasion focus on the negative and can find my senses overwhelmed in the opposite direction, where I feel completely misunderstood and mistreated by society, I then have an overwhelming   sense of lack. It's the world we live in, Duality, there is no up if there is no down, no right if there is no wrong, no abundance if there is no scarcity. An old Native wise man was explaining to his young grandson about the two wolves that live inside him. One is bad and the other is good, both in a continuous battle, the grandson asks which will win the battle, and the Grandfather’s reply is “Which ever one, You, Feed”. My Son shared this antidote with me many years ago and to this day it’s one that I most often repeat in my head as I start to have the negative overwhelm the positive.

It's difficult to not judge others that live in a world that we may believe is beyond privilege, yet they complain about their life. What's to complain about, they can do whatever they want whenever they want too, seems about as good as it can get. Being satisfied with your life circumstances may have nothing to do with what you have or what you do, maybe it's just about you. If someone isn’t happy with themselves they could never be happy with what they have.

Some will always feed the bad wolf more, why? That's a question we all have to ask, but if you find yourself criticizing others and suggesting that they should live the way you believe is right, check in with your wolves, you probably aren't happy with you. People that feel out of control, inside, make every attempt to control what is outside of them. That includes other people. If you can't be happy sitting on a pile of “shit” you won’t be happy sitting on a pile of “gold”. Opposing forces, are always at play, we need to look inside before we decide what we choose to oppose and what we choose to flow with.
